The Tier 3 Toolkit Membership is a resources that allows you to access the professional development and support that you need, when you need it. There is not a prescribed order or sequence but rather it is a library of professional development and resources that can support your learning no matter where you are up to in your knowledge about the science of reading, science of learning and science of writing when providing assessment and intervention to students.

    As medical intervention improves there are students within out mainstream classrooms who may not have survived in previous generations. Sharing case studies allows for the sharing of single case students, those with unique presentations. Participants are welcome to suggest cases for discussion.

    Resources include a range of topics. How to use a range of technology resources; How to navigate NAPLAN provisions; understanding the process for HSC Disability provision applications. This will be an ever evolving library of resources & members are welcome to place specific requests.

  • Resource Library

    Practical resources to use in the clinic and classroom. Report Templates and an ever evolving library of curriculum aligned resources for oral language, reading comprehension and writing across K-12. Accessible formats of resources comparable with platforms like google slides & SeeSaw will be prioritised.

  • I am new to working with Language, Learning & Literacy across K-12 is this membership appropriate?

    Understanding Assessment and Effective Intervention is ideal for Speech Pathologists who are new to working with Language, Literacy & Learning across K-12. Final Year Speech Pathology Students and New Graduate Speech Pathologists are also welcome. There is the opportunity to book 30 min 1:1 chats and an online community so there are many ways ask questions and access support.

  • I feel confident working with students in K-2 however I want to expand my skills to work with upper primary and High School students. My caseload is becoming older and student needs are becoming more complex. Will this membership meet my needs?

    Working beyond Phonics is focused on working with older students in upper primary and high school. | It will be a much slower pace and expanded version of my recent SPA Conference Workshop with additional resources, examples and many opportunities for questions and discussions. | There is the opportunity to take a deeper dive into Reading Comprehension, the link to Oral Language plus Writing Instruction and also a focus on Treatment Resisters | Everyone is welcome & all knowledge levels catered for.

  • Why are the membership options 3, 6 and 12 months?

    The Membership options allow members to schedule payments at a schedule that is convenient to their needs. An annual membership comes with 2 months free, 6 or 3 monthly membership provide increased flexibility and the option of avoiding any membership deductions during school holidays or Christmas / New Year breaks.

  • Do I have to progress through the learning options in a set order?

    No. Consider your membership to be your own personal learning, resource and professional support library. You can access what you need when you need it. Customise your professional development to times that suit you. At any time you need to ask a specific question, update or refresh your knowledge or trial a new resource you can!

  • Is there sufficient content to meet SPA professional learning and professional supervision requirements?

    Yes. There is over 40 hours of PD, the opportunity to book a 1:1 30 min chat which can count as professional supervision and members will have access to a 25% discount on any additional 1:1 coaching with Kathryn [longer than 30]
