    How do you assess and what tools do you have in your toolkit? In this course we will discuss the role of Universal Screening [Acadience | DIBELS | CUBED] + The Role of Criterion or Curriculum Based Assessment [CBA] and the tools available + Standardised Assessment Tools that are in my toolkit such as RAN/RAS | CTOPP 2 | TILLS | WRMT 3 | YARC | TOWRE 2 plus language assessment.

  • Practical Application

    How might assessment vary due to co-occuring conditions or medical complexity? + Do you always start with a formal standardised comprehensive assessment or might there be times when other options are more appropriate? + How do you tease out whether a student has difficulties with language, reading or both? + Please note that the focus will be on language and reading assessment in this course.
